The Palace of The Parliament, Bucharest


Bucharest in one cultural and industrial centre which includes different interesting places and attractions. In the past, it was known as the “Little Paris” because of its wide boulevards and impressive Belle Epoque (means Beautiful Era) buildings. The city is one adorable combination between eclectic architecture, magnificent Orthodox churches and numerous historic attractions.

Moreover, the city is a home to many luxury Bucharest hotels owned by different world famous hotel chains. Every year, these accommodations are visited by thousands of tourists, from all around the world, who go there to explore the place and its fascinating sites. However, if you are planning to spend some time in Bucharest, you have to gather some information about different things that you can see and do there. For instance, when you are in the city you must visit the Palace of the Parliament which is one major city's attraction that deserves to be explored by everyone who have the chance to go there. So, here is some information about that landmark.

The Palace of the Parliament houses both chambers of the Romanian Parliament and it is the second largest building in the world. Moreover, the place is also considered as the world's most expensive building and heaviest building. The palace was designed and almost completed by the former communist government. It is interesting that Nicolae Ceausescu (the former country's leader) called the building the House of the Republic, but among locals it is famous as People's House. This magnificent 12-storey construction includes 1100 rooms, four underground levels open to public and 2 underground parking garages. The Palace is built in neoclassical architecture style.

So, do not wait, book in advance some Bucharest hotel and go visit that unique world famous attraction.
