If you haven’t been to Blackpool yet, be sure to visit as soon as you can; it’s a great place and you’ll never be able to see or do all of it in one weekend. The night life is truly memorable, if you will be able to remember it after, that is, especially if you try one of the famous Blackpool Blackouts that they serve in most cocktail bars. If you can keep your head though, you’ll be amazed by the dazzling light displays, neon signs, thumping night clubs and friendly young people that the place attracts every day, not to mention ever single weekend.
The Blackpool Illuminations are truly a great sight to behold. Fireworks, bright lights, neon signs, happy people drinking everywhere. The whole spectacle just improves and improves on a yearly basis, with a new celebrity getting to perform the enormously important job of ‘throwing the switch’ each year, just like a local mayor might do so for his town’s Christmas light display. The Blackpool Illuminations are, however, are utterly dazzling.
The beaches, on the whole, are very clean and inviting. You’d actually be surprised how immaculate the beaches are on Blackpool Pleasure Beach, at least compared with some of the other beaches in places in the far reaches of England. The Atlantic can actually even be quite warm during the summer, so by all means, go for a swim.
If gambling is your thing, then you’ll be delighted to know that there are more casinos than you’ll ever be able to visit dotted around the Blackpool Pleasure Beach hotels, as well as by the many tourist bars, venues and clubs.
If you’re more of a culture vulture, then there are plenty of museums and art galleries to sate your cravings for art and exhibits. The famous theatre ball room also offers some incredible entertainment, for all ages and tastes. Golfers will also be pleased to know about all the UK golf hotels that are nearby too.
